Laurent Barthélemy is a Franco-American director. He established a reputation for visual ingenuity from his ten-year tenure at Psyop/Smuggler in New York. His work interweaves sharp visuals with deeply human stories for brands such as American Express, Google and Nike. Laurent’s advertising work has been honored throughout the industry. His work on the Nike “Human Chain” spot with Maria Sharapova and Lance Armstrong earned a Clio and a Cannes Lion. His Google Play commercial is the most viewed Google ad on Youtube with over 100M hits. Laurent was a lead artist on the AICP-winning MTV spot “Crow”. The video is in the permanent film collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
His ambitious 2016 short film, Campers, stars César winner (French Oscars) Rod Paradot. Laurent is currently in development on a documentary mini-series with boxing star Vasyl Lomachenko. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
