Airi Yamawaki

Airi is a producer currently based in Tokyo. She grew up in South Africa and in the UK, with her career starting in Africa. In recent years she has been producing short films, music videos, commercials, and documentaries, for various media platforms ranging from broadcast to on-demand media. Her documentary “Finding Satoshi”, narrated by Willem Dafoe, has received international awards and been screened at several film festivals. Story telling with brands has also been a continued strength, and her latest short film “Straight Path” by Toray won Branded Content of the Year as well as several international awards such as The Drum and New York Festivals. Continued passion for greenish production and sustainability related contents, “Signals – Plastic Must Die”, Uniqlo “Closer through our clothes” has been her favourite works.
